When is it: December 12th & 13th downtown Franklin, TN. 

 

Dressing up: Where do you get a costume? You can make one, or you can rent or buy. There are costume rental places in Nashville (you'll want to reserve your costume well in advance), or I recommend checking out Amazon or Victorian Choice. If you just type in Dickens Christmas Dress, or attire, you'll get lots of period costume recommendations to search through. AND don't forget to wear your petticoat and some warm long johns underneath in case it is a cold weekend! 

 

Do I need to attend both days: No. But you can if you like. 

 

Will people stop me on the street and ask for my photo or compliment me on my dress: YES they will! So be prepared! 

 

Does it cost money: No (but bring money for food/drink) or pack a lunch or go to lunch at one of the yummy restaurants in Franklin. We did lunch at Greys on Main last year. 

 

Parking: It can get busy and packed quickly; show up early and get a parking spot in a lot just off of Main Street. The streets open at 10 on Saturday and 11 on Sunday. I recommend getting there 45 min before it opens to get a good parking spot close to the main road. There is also a large parking lot and shuttle that runs if you're not able to get there early (see the website for more info on the parking shuttle). If you show up past 10 am expect that you will not be able to get near downtown Franklin as the traffic will be crazy!!

Is it fun for the whole family? YES, it's so fun! Tons of vendors selling fun things, there is dancing, demos, good trucks, and lots of entertainment! It is one of the most fun days (especially if you dress up!)
