Summer is flying by! It seems like each year gets busier with the garden, animals, clients, house projects, house guests, and trying to squeeze in everything on our family's bucket list. There are so many fun things to do here in Middle Tennessee that the days never seem long enough.

This summer has already been full, and can I just say... the weather has been amazing! Even the rainy, stormy day we had on Monday was a treat. Cool mornings, comfortable evenings, and watching my daughter, nieces, and nephews chase lightning bugs at sunset are the kinds of moments that remind me how special this season is. God is good!

Last week, Anthony's sister and her family came to visit from Minnesota. It was the first time their whole family had been to Tennessee together, and we loved having them. Their visit was far too short!

While they were here, we toured Carnton House in Franklin, which is a fascinating look at the Battle of Franklin and well worth a visit. The next day, Pepper was baptized by her uncle, Pastor Jorge, in our friend Gloria's pool, which made for a very special day.

We also toured Whispering Pines Lavender Farm here in Belfast before hosting our Garden Club at our home. If you haven't visited the farm, I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful local stop and definitely worth adding to your summer plans!
