@sicilianjujitsu we understand this 100% and you’re not alone. If you’re looking to buy in middle TN shoot me a message and I can encourage you to look at some more rural towns that are growing and great spots to consider with more adorable properties. I’m happy to help. My heart truly is sad for how costly land has become for folks. I myself would love to buy more land. I’m grateful we bought when we did. And this is why I encourage others to buy now and have for years…buy land because they aren’t making it anymore, as the saying goes, and the price continues to climb.

@tennessee_homesteadrealtor I have a small business and I grow my own herbs and food for what I sell. Do you know of any grants or loans that could help? Because I am able to do it
@krisagraham this is a great option, connecting land owners to partner with young farmers for affordable leases of land or lease to own. We’re loosing farmers at significant rates and young farmers are not able to afford to buy land to farm on. We need to start partnering with land owners who want to preserve the farmland but are not able to farm.
We’d love to help preserve Tennessee farmland but it’s getting more and more difficult when the only folks who can afford to do it are developers with deep pockets. We’ve been searching high and low for something even remotely affordable. And I can’t blame the land owners they sell out to the developers and become overnight millionaires. What’s the incentive to sell to folks like us who can’t make that happen? I’m not trying to be cynical those are just the facts of the current state of land in Tennessee.
@hunterhausliving yes this is the dilemma of many, and many are leaving Williamson County and the rural communities are growing with like minded folk 🙌❤. Personally we love being further out of the hustle and bustle of Franklin, we’re close enough to do live there on regular but further enough away for better opportunities in living in the country on land.
@tennessee_homesteadrealtor completely agree. We live in Williamson County and the average person looking to buy land has been priced out completely. We really love our community here in WilCo so feel like we’re between a rock and hard spot of wanting land but also not wanting to give up our community we’ve built here.
@hunterhausliving Yes we understand this all too well, which is why we’ve trying hard to encourage land owners to preserve their land and not sell it to developers. We believe in growth but at healthy rates with proper infrastructure that has already been developed. TN farmland is disappearing all too quickly and we need to work to bring awareness to this and help make land more affordable again for the younger generations. There is still some very affordable land in more rural areas of TN, you just won’t find affordable land anymore in Williamson County or the greater Nashville area unfortunately.
